MoonJournal ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Dream Entries: Your dream titles, descriptions, moods, tags, and dream types are stored locally on your device. Dream content is sent to our servers only when you request an AI interpretation.
Profile Data: Optional zodiac signs, birth details, and preferences you choose to provide.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymized usage statistics to improve the App experience.
Support Reports: When you submit a support report, we collect the information you provide (category, subject, details) along with basic diagnostic data (app version, platform).
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the App's features
- Generate AI-powered dream interpretations and astrology insights
- Screen content for safety purposes using automated detection systems
- Process your subscription and manage your account
- Send daily reminder notifications (if enabled by you)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your dream entries and personal data are primarily stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. When you request AI interpretations, your dream content is securely transmitted to our servers and processed by our AI service provider (OpenAI) to generate insights.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data during transmission and processing. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
OpenAI: For generating dream interpretations and astrology insights. Dream content sent for interpretation is processed according to OpenAI's data usage policies.
RevenueCat: For managing premium subscriptions. RevenueCat processes subscription-related data according to their privacy policy.
Resend: For delivering support report emails.
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

MoonJournal is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you are under 18, you should only use MoonJournal with the consent of a parent or guardian.

MoonJournal uses automated content safety systems to screen dream entries for themes related to self-harm, violence, exploitation of minors, and other sensitive topics. This screening is performed to protect our users and community.
When sensitive content is detected, the App may display crisis support resources. Certain categories of content (such as content involving the exploitation of minors) will be blocked from AI interpretation entirely.
In cases involving credible threats of violence, exploitation of minors, or other illegal activity, we may disclose relevant content and available user information to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities without prior notice to the user. This is the only circumstance under which your dream content may be shared with third parties beyond our AI service provider.
Your dream entries are stored locally on your device and persist until you delete them or uninstall the App. Account-related data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
